Topographic is part of the project team to relocate Tarrant County 911 functions from their existing building to the new facility. Our survey team performed a boundary and topographic survey. The gathered data was used to generate a digital terrain model with 1-foot contours. As part of Phase 1, Topographic prepared a Site Plan for submittal and approval by the City. We utilized the lot boundary, topographic survey and approved Preliminary Layout (as provided by the Architect), to illustrate in detail the location and approximate size of the proposed building envelopes, setbacks, parking, driveways, easements, impervious cover, adjacent uses, existing utilities/drainage, and other key site elements. We also prepared a Grading Plan for the proposed drive lanes and parking, with transitional grading to the area surrounding the building including gutter downspouts and necessary flatwork rework. Based on the survey, ADA compliance was verified and where necessary redesigned to meet ADA requirements. Drainage Area Map/Study, floodplain modeling, and site utility plan were also provided. We are in the process of completing Phase 2 which will include the emergency access road along with the flatwork adjustments needed to ensure positive drainage and adequate parking for the building.

Topographic spearheaded the civil engineering design for Terry Black’s BBQ’s new $6 million location on West 7th Street, adjacent to Fort Worth’s vibrant Cultural District. The project features a 6,300-square-foot restaurant, a 1,300-square-foot smokehouse, and an expansive outdoor courtyard. Our expertise in zoning and planning expedited the development process, eliminating the need for site replating. Grading design effectively managed stormwater runoff and water quality through a bioswale, avoiding the need for detention onsite and providing a pleasing site feature in the parking lot.

NGL Water Solutions
Topographic provided survey and engineering design service for the permitting and construction of a 500k recycle water pond and a 250k freshwater pond along with an equipment pad. Treated frac water was stored in the larger pond and pumped to wells for fracing. The freshwater pond was used to ensure water was available in situations where there wasn’t enough water coming to the site for treatment and reuse. Deliverables consisted of cut/fill calculations, topsoil stockpile, total grading and a detailed layout for the liner, trench anchors, suction pipes and funnels, pond fill apparatus and leak detection systems. Additionally, Topographic provided details for gates, fences, berms and any other features needed for facility completion.
