Digital Land Grid

Supported by on-the-ground monumentation, is the most accurate product of its type available today. Available in most geologic and mapping formats.
  • Many sources are used for Topographic's Digital Land Grid development including USGS 1:24,000 topographic quads, aerial photography and documentation on thousands of corners found from over 35 years of surveying in Texas.
  • Specific procedures are followed in building the land grid such as establishing and researching monumented control points, having our registered surveyors and cartographers draw the section, block and survey lines on the geodetically accurate USGS quads, verifying section, block and survey names of each tract, and digitizing and assigning a control quality level to each point.
  • Updates and revisions are always available. When differences or discrepancies between the digital land grid and the on-the-ground control are found by our field crews, the correct information is noted and updated in our database. The building of a correct and accurate base map of Texas sections, blocks, and surveys is a long term continuous process.
